The name “Virgo” for this Zodiac sign stands for the Latin word “virgin”. Its constellation lies between the constellation of Leo (West) and Libra’s (East). It has great importance because it’s the second-largest constellation in the sky after Hydra and the largest in the Zodiac. Its principal and brightest star
The mythology of Virgo.
Since it’s a very ancient figure, there are several myths associated with Virgo: it has been related to the Roman Goddess Ceres, and to the Assyrian Goddess of fertility and Spring, Ishtar. The one I prefer is about Demeter and Persephone.
Demeter was the Agriculture Goddess, Zeus’ sister and mother of Persephone, that used to rule the fields’ fertility: under her watch, Nature used to grow thriving and prosperous.
Ade wanted Persephone to be his bride and asked Zeus for her hand. In front of this request, Zeus answered that Demeter would never accept to part with her daughter and send her in Tartarus, so He suggested to Ade a kidnapping unbeknownst to her mother.
In this way, Persephone was kidnapped and taken to the underworld with Ade. Demeter, full of pain, abandoned the Olympus and started desperate researches of her daughter.
When she found out that Persephone was kidnapped by Ade, she refused to come back to the Olympus until her daughter came back to her. In the meantime, Nature was dying and wasting away.
Zeus, to avoid the end of the Humans, tried a reconciliation between Ade and Demeter, ordering Ade to return Persephone.
He didn’t oppose this request, but he planned a system to keep her with him. At the time there was a kind of “law”: who eat something in the Tartarus, can’t go back. Ade exploited this and offered a pomegranate to Persephone. When she met her mother again, she confessed to her that she had eaten six beans of pomegranate, causing the anger of Demeter.
At this point, Zeus tried a new deal: since she didn’t eat the entire fruit, she would live in the underworld with Ade for six months (the equivalent of the beans she ate), and the remaining time of the year with her mother.
Since then, when Persephone comes back on Earth during spring and summer, Demeter is joyful and so is Nature, while during autumn and winter, when her daughter is in the Underworld, Demeter torments herself and Nature dies and wilts.
Virgo rules the end of the Summer season, and in this way, it represents the end of a cycle and the beginning of a new one. This sign announces the beginning of Nature’s rest, the period to gather and save: this represents the typical Virgo’s thrift.
Virgo’s natives are skilled in supplies administration, they tend to think about the uncertainty of the future and try to prevent shortcomings, and so they do with relationships: they keep be wary until they feel safe. They don’t believe in living in the fantasy world and will be very much in touch with reality. Their practical approach is one of their biggest strength.
They’re very precise, serious, careful and smart, with a great sense of responsibility that takes them to criticize everything that is not done as they want or think. Their attention to detail is praiseworthy.
Their altruism takes them to exacerbate the perfectionism towards others like it’s their duty that everyone and everything is perfectly in order.
In relationships, Virgos are not very romantic and they have a great sense of decency. Being very shy and reserved people, those who were born under this sign aren’t very able to express their feelings with words, so they prefer to take care of the people they love and express love with actions.
They usually prefer relationships in which there’s a great mental connection with the partner.
Virgos are generally faithful but they really, really, really can’t stand betrayal and when they make a decision, it’s difficult that they retreat.
They tend to be very anxious and to look for approval, affection and attention constantly. This anxiety makes them a bit hypochondriacs and may also cause issues related to the GI tract.
After that we’ve analyzed Virgo’s constellation, mythology and traits, let’s talk about this zodiac sign and their approach to career.
Methodical, honest and hard-workers, Virgos achieve successful careers quite easily because they made their work their reason for living. They are perfectionist people, but sometimes, though, the Virgos’ need for perfection borders on obsession, which may, at times, make them miss deadlines. Virgos natives often end up spending too much time doing one particular task in an attempt to do it perfectly. An accommodating approach may take them a long way on the career path. It would also mean that they would be more adaptable to adverse situations and not get stuck in one particular job.

Capricorn – both earth signs with great projects in their mind: they will surely have a wonderful couple path, provided that they’re able to go past their shyness when they know each other. Capricorns partners are often more responsible, while Virgo partners are able to give great stability to the couple. Just be sure to add a bit of spicy sometimes to avoid boredom.

Sexual Plan: 4,5/5
Taurus – Besides the obvious reason of the two sharing the same earth element, Taurus is stable enough to calm Virgo’s nervous streak and anxious inclinations. Virgo doesn’t have to worry about Taurus behaviour. Virgo likes things to proceed logically by following the rules, step by step. Taurus doesn’t have a problem with that. A good match indeed!
