In the constellation of Gemini, the main two stars are named Pollux and Castor (and they draw the heads of the two human figures): the astronomers have discovered that, in reality, Castor is a system of six stars kept by the strength of gravity, while Pollux is an orange giant star. Obviously, the two stars are not “physically” connected, considering there’s an enormous distance between them and that they’re at different distances from Earth.
Mythology ties to this sign the figures of Castor and Pollux, children of Leda but from different fathers: Pollux was the son of Zeus, who seduced Leda, while Castor was the son of Tyndareus, king of Sparta and Leda’s husband.
The two brothers became antagonists in love, but Castor perished in a duel. Pollux asked help to his father Zeus, that literally tied the brothers, forcing them to stay together for six months on the Olympus and for six months in Hell.
In Babylonian astronomy instead, these two stars were known as the “Great Twins”. The Twins were regarded as minor gods and were called Meshlamtaea and Lugalirra, meaning respectively ‘The One who has arisen from the Underworld’ and the ‘Mighty King’. Both names can be understood as titles of Nergal, the major Babylonian god of plague and pestilence, who was king of the Underworld.
The duality that we find in these myths is typical of Gemini people: light and shade, soul and intellect, materiality and spirituality, two opposite parts, two aspects that cannot be divided.
The sign of Gemini is related to the archetype of the Magician, that communicates the great gift of the imagination: everything is possible, there is no problem, there is always a magic spell, a magic wand, a magic potion that can change the reality.
Gemini is a typical transitory sign: its time comes in the middle when the Spring leaves space to the Summer. For this reason, the sign of the Gemini results to be the perfect representation of the volatility and therefore of the inconstancy.
Unlike Libra and Aquarius, (signs of Air too), the sign Gemini is double, and it becomes difficult to capture people with such characteristics: instinctive and inventiveness.
The psychology of Gemini is countersigned for a rapid and bright intelligence, but also light and dynamic spirit, in constant movement as air: the nature of the sign is elusive, restless and dynamic.

Gemini people don’t express the deepest and often painful, tragic part of their life.

Besides, their spontaneity adds to their natural charm. A Gemini can easily keep you entertained and involved for hours. They have rooted in their nature an uncontrollable desire for knowledge. Sometimes, however, despite these noble characteristics, they can result unreliable, for who doesn’t know them well.
During a conversation with a Gemini, you will never get the better: great speakers and lovers of the rhetoric… it’s better to give up.
In relationships, Despite they’re always late and often forget the appointments, Gemini

Aquarius – This is a relationship based mostly on the mental aspect, Both of them like spending time together, having long and fascinating conversations for hours on end, ignoring and putting any other distraction on the back-burner. Even after they broke up, they usually remain friends. Aquarius temperament may confuse the Gemini partner, fascinating him. But don’t push your luck too much!
